Coffee and Conservation: Chaney Crabb of ENTHEOS
“When I am vocalizing lyrics, I want the aggression to match.” - Chaney Crabb, Entheos
ENTHEOS, Santa Cruz’s own progressive death metal band began in 2015. The band consists of two members: vocalist Chaney Crabb and Navene Koperweis who takes care of guitar, bass, and drums. I recently sat down and spoke with Entheos’ frontwoman, Chaney Crabb, to get the scoop on their latest album “An End To Everything” due out on October 25th via Metal Blade Records. Chaney discusses the raw emotion behind the lyrics and where she drew her inspiration from. Chaney states, “When I am singing I like there to be a mood of melancholy and when I am screaming I like you to feel the rage.”
The vocal range Chaney has, is absolutely unforgettable. Haunting, raw, beautiful.
Listen to the interview to hear more about ENTHEOS’ journey and how Chaney puts the raw emotion into everything she does - on the stage, in the studio, and when writing the lyrics to their next hit. Do not sleep on this album. An End To Everything will be out on the 25th of this month. Click below to listen to the entire interview.
